My 10 (going on 11) year old German Shepherd, Cookie: She's loving, gentle, watchful, and willing-to-please. She's slowing down, but in her youth she could jump 6 foot fences without getting a running start. She's an excellent watch dog and while she is wary of strangers, she usually shows herself as friendly to them. She lost her interest in toys around the age of 8, but she'll glad catch whatever you toss to her if you request it. She's also a glutton. She'll eat anytime, anywhere, and almost anything. Most of her life, she has been overweight, but she's on a diet. Luckily, she's almost done losing weight. My Papillin mix of unknown age, Treader: He's curious, submissive, and almost always ready for action. If there's something going on, he wants to be a part of it. When there's nothing to do, he tends to lay around looking bored and/or sleep. He learns pretty quickly and will gladly do what you ask if you give him a good enough reward. He tends to shut down mentally when handled roughly, as his breed tends to be. He loves to chase anything that runs, and only stops to catch his breath. He's definitely Papillon, but probably not purebred and he may have some Sheltie in him. Looks aside, some of of his personality and prey drives makes me think that he almost certainly is.
